As you may know, we're a newly profound multicultural eatery ran by two experienced chefs, myself and my partner Fatima.

We are a newly established multicultural eatery proudly serving the Basildon community. Led by experienced chefs Ioannis and Fatima, our mission is to become the area's premier destination for high-quality, diverse takeout.
Our menu features a curated selection of African, British, Greek, and Japanese dishes. We are dedicated to providing exquisite, freshly prepared meals at a competitive price, ensuring that world-class flavours are accessible to everyone.
Every dish is crafted with our customers’ preferences in mind, reflecting our commitment to quality and authenticity.
Currently, we operate from a vibrant food truck featuring dedicated outdoor seating for those who wish to enjoy their meal on-site. While we are starting mobile, our long-term vision is to transition into a flagship restaurant—a welcoming space where friends and family of all ages and backgrounds can gather to enjoy great food, a good drink, and a lively atmosphere.

About Us
May's Spot was an idea that was initially established from the passion and the love Ioannis May has always had for food. From making easy and quick dinners to one day learning to make a mix of African, Greek, English and Japanese dishes, Ioannis May established really quickly that these dishes are succinct and could attract a customer base if trialled within a specific market. Soon after and after a lot of thought, a lot of positive feedback coming from friends and family, Ioannis May decided to put all ideas in creating a business to one side and start up his own takeout which in time will open its very own flagship shop. Ioannis May & Fatima aim to bring everyone together by initially operating a food truck with seated areas where customers can dine outside with cool, calm music and refreshing beverages varying from cocktails to alcohol mixes .
Alongside Ioannis May, I want to introduce a face that will become very familiar to those dining with us whether on site or at home and this is my partner and Co-manager, Fatima.
Fatima has experience in the culnirary industry and I trust her to be my right arm due to the ideas and creativity she brings to the table. Her forte in African speciality will keep you all on your toes, the versatality to use spices, seasonings and turn a meal into something extravagant will make you love her and from us both, we hope that you will give our menu a chance to shine.
Our promise is to provide our customer base with freshly made meals, made from freshly bought ingredients and made on the same day.
